Blue Bonnet

The Scottish Blue Bonnet was the immediate identifier of a Scotsman for hundreds of years.

The exact shade of blue varies.

They are traditionally worn with a clan badge and a sprig of the clan plant to signify allegiances. In the Jacobite period rosettes of white (Jacobite) or red or black (Government) were sewn to the bonnet.
