Heathergems

The "gems" in Heathergem jewellery are handcrafted using heather collected in the Scottish hills. The bark is removed and the stems dyed in a variety of colours. Stems of different colours are mixed, then compressed into a block (at approx. 60 tons of pressure!) which is then cut into individual shapes, These are laquered and set in individual pieces of jewellery. Coming in a range of different shades with no two ever the same, Heathergems are a lovely way to wear a little piece of Scotland.
